Botanic Gradens

Great looking bunch!!

We had a great day last Wednesday.
Thank you to our wonderful helpers.

We are learning to make i-movies on computers rather than i-pads with the great selection of photos including ones Jo Wynn- Williams sent through to us.
Hopefully the movies will be done in the next few days and we'll pop them up there.

Here are a few images for now.
Have a great week.

To help with pronunciation here are the syllables in Måori.

Here are some colours in Māori:

Last week of term

Wow it's been a busy couple of weeks. Congratulations to Lily who is our mathlete of the week. Quin was last weeks champion and we are waiting for the year 8s to do milo & cookies again to properly celebrate them both.

We have ABL tomorrow with a group of year 13 students from Hagley  Community College from 9-12, which is always fabulous.

There is no spelling homework this week, but keep up the great mathletics and reading!

I am planning a trip to the Botanical Gardens for the Team next term. A notice will come home with information before the holidays.

Have a great week

Week 7

Welcome to Alicia Bell, a second year student from the University of Canterbury. Miss Bell will be doing some teaching in our class until the end of term.
Friday is a national LUNCH BOX DAY.
This is organised through Campbell Live. You should get an email about this from school, but in a nutshell we are asking that children bring along an item of tinned food that can be used in sandwiches and/ or a gold coin donation. This is of course entirely optional, and the notice is very short, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have added a link if you want more info.

Well done to ALL the children who have been using Mathletics. There are some outstanding results.
The last 2 champions were shouted milo & cookies today. Well done Anna and Izzy.

We are attending a cyber safety session today as a team. I'll let you know how it was & if there is anything you can do at home.
There is no spelling this week as we are re-gigging the way the school teaches spelling/ word study. I don't think there'll be too many changes in Room 7 but keep an eye out.
Have a great week
