Usual Enough Poems

We have recorded our poems so we can reflect on how we have gone as authors and speakers.
We hope you love these poems inspired by James K. Baxter's "Usual Enough"

Can you guess what town we have chosen to write about?

Please share your ideas with us about whether we speak clearly and loudly enough.

Book review

We are learning to write book reviews so we can share the books we read with other people.
Isabella has finished hers!
We hope you enjoy her review.

Tilly's Treasure Collection
By Sue Walker

This book is about a girl named Tilly and how she gets bullied at school by Carla and Cate. They laugh at her because she does not have a skipping rope. Tilly found a hula hoop outside her friend’s house but it was broken. She taped it up and that is why they laugh at.  Tilly talked with her dad and he showed her how to make a grass ring. Tilly made one and the girls at school loved it...

I like this story because there are heaps of funny bits and pictures (that are not coloured.) One thing I don't like is that some of her friends are really mean.

I think you should read this story because it’s exciting and funny, plus it is like people's lives.
